Free Online Animated GIF Maker - Video & Photo to GIF
Make a GIF From Your Photos in 30 Seconds
Upload a series of photos, set how fast they play, and download your animated GIF. No account, no watermark, no upload to a server. Our free GIF maker runs entirely in your browser — you can have a finished animation in under half a minute, ready to post anywhere GIFs work: Twitter, Discord, Slack, email, or any website.
GIF Works Everywhere — That's the Point
Video formats like MP4 and WebM don't always auto-play in emails or older messaging apps. GIF does — it's been universally supported since the early web and works in every email client, every browser, and every phone without needing a player. When you need something that just works everywhere, GIF is still the right format.
What You Can Make
- Reaction GIFs — a short clip or expression to use in messages
- Product demos — show a feature or product in action without a full video
- Tutorial steps — stitch screenshots together into a walkthrough
- Social content — animated posts for Twitter, LinkedIn, or email newsletters
- Cinemagraphs — subtle looping movement on an otherwise still photo
Control Speed, Loop, and Quality
The frame delay slider controls how fast your GIF plays — lower delay = faster animation. You can set different delays for individual frames if you want some to linger longer. Loop count can be set to loop forever (standard for web) or play a set number of times. Quality setting controls the color palette depth — higher quality looks better but creates a larger file.
Private, Free, No Watermark
Giphy's free GIF maker stamps your creation. Many other tools upload to their servers and require sign-in. ImageXpo's GIF maker runs in your browser. Your photos never leave your device. The output GIF is 100% yours — no branding, no upload, no account needed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you add a watermark to my GIF?
No. Never. Your GIF is entirely yours. We don't stamp it with a logo or 'made with' tag. Since the whole process runs on your device, we have no server costs to offset with branding.
How many photos can I animate?
As many as your device's RAM allows. On a modern computer you can comfortably animate 20–50 high-res photos. There's no server-side frame limit — the only limit is your hardware.
Why do colors look slightly different in my GIF?
GIF is limited to 256 colors per frame, which is much less than a full-color photo. Our engine picks the best 256 colors to represent your images, but gradients and subtle tones can shift slightly. If color accuracy is critical, try setting quality to maximum or consider using WebP animated format instead.
Is it safe to use with private photos?
Yes. Your photos never leave your browser. The animation and export run in browser memory via WebAssembly. We have no access to your files — they're cleared when you close the tab.
